Description
The Baddeckenstedt Teiche are ponds that are located in the nature reserve Mittleres Innerstetal, about 6 km east of the Derneburg ponds. Numerous waterfowl breed here, including around 15 pairs of Kis vöcsök , 1-2 pairs of Feketenyakú vöcsök and, for the first time in 2010, a pair of Vörösnyakú vöcsök. Occasionally, Búbos vöcsök also breed. In addition to Tőkés réce and Bütykös hattyú, Kontyos réce, Barátréce and Kendermagos réce are at home here.
