Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Kékbegy, Nádirigó, Foltos nádiposzáta, törpegém, Guvat and Barna rétihéja. Függőcinege has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Süvöltő, Kabasólyom, fitiszfüzike and Barna kánya are quite easy to see. Ugartyúk and Kerceréce can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
