Description
Lac du Pêcher is a lake with a surrounding nature reserve that is part of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park. Its area is 20.22 hectares and its altitude is 1,142 meters. The valley of Lac du Pêcher is protected because of the special flora and fauna. Birds that breed in the area are Erdei pacsirta, Sárszalonka, Barátréce, Szuharbújó, Nádi sármány, Guvat, Bíbic and Kis vöcsök. Other birds you can encounter are billegetőcankó, Halászsas, Vörös kánya, Barna kánya, Barna rétihéja, Tövisszúró gébics, Holló, rozsdás csuk, Barátposzáta, Kerti poszáta and cigánycsuk.

Lac du Pêcher, Chavagnac 15170 Neussargues en Pinatelle. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. There is a bird observatory on Lac du Pêcher with explanatory panels. You can also explore the surroundings on foot. On the map you see a 3 km circular educational trail. This trail also passes the observatory.
