Description

The area around Ille-sur-Tête has a very varied landscape with the river Têt running in the middle and making a huge canyon. There is also forest, dry hills and agricultural land. In the forest you can find woodpeckers like Nyaktekercs, Zöld küllo (subspecies sharpei) and Nagy fakopáncs. In the surrounding dry mediteranean hills you can find species like Kucsmás poszáta, pettyes kakukk, Búbospacsirta and Holló. This area can also be very good for spring migration with raptors like Kígyászölyv, Barna kánya and Hamvas rétihéja.

The area itself is very beautiful with the nearby Orgues and can offer shade when it is too hot in the summer.
