Étang Turlet is located at the southern exit of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. The lake has mainly open shallow water with some scarce reedbeds and wet woodlands. On the northern bank of the lake is a bird hide. Among the bird you can observe are Kendermagos réce, Fütyülő réce, Nyílfarkú réce, üstökösréce, Kontyos réce, Barátréce, Csörgo réce, Böjti réce, Bütykös hattyú, Vörös gém, Fehér gólya, Barna rétihéja, fattyúszerkő, Búbos vöcsök, Kis vöcsök and Feketenyakú vöcsök.

Étang Turlet is located south of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. You can park along the road close to the lake. Click on the P in the map for directions. From parking spot it is just a 100 m walk to the bird hide.
