The lake and surroundings of Etang de Saint-Aubin offer a lot of different habitats. Among the birds you can encounter are Tőkés réce, Nagy bukó, Kárókatona, Szürke gém, Kis kócsag, Nagy kócsag, Vízityúk, Szárcsa, Egerészölyv, vörös vércse, cigánycsuk etc..
