Description
Kaidanpään Lintutorni is a bird observation tower that offers a great vantage point for observing various bird species. You can see waterfowl, herons, and have a good chance to hear Bölömbika and Guvat. Rétisas can be seen hunting all year round. Other birds you can observe in the area include Énekes hattyú, Kanalas réce, Fütyülő réce, Csörgo réce, Kontyos réce, Kis bukó, Nagy bukó, Búbos vöcsök, Daru, Pajzsoscankó, Sárszalonka, Réti cankó, Piroslábú cankó, Lócsér, Küszvágó csér, Halászsas, Barna rétihéja, Nagy fakopáncs, Kabasólyom, Fenyvescinege, Búbos cinege, Barkóscinege, Foltos nádiposzáta, cserregő nádiposzáta, Erdei pityer and Citromsármány.

Kaidanpään Lintutorni is located in Masku, which is about 25 kilometers northwest of the city of Turku. You can reach the area by local bus but then you still have to walk some kilometers. So best to go there is with car or by bicycle. There is small parking place where the path to birding tower starts. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From the parking you have to walk about 1 km to the observation tower.
