Description
Frøslev Forest is close to the Danish-German border and contains a landscape with dense coniferous forest, heathland and shifting sand. Frøslev Plantage is a good place to spot lots of smaller songbirds but also birds of prey like Héja, Karvaly, Egerészölyv and vörös vércse. Also Fekete harkály, Lappantyú, Nyaktekercs, Macskabagoly and Holló. A characteristic bird is cigánycsuk, which has some of its most important Danish breeding grounds here. Frøslev is often visited by birdwatchers because many small birds have their northern distribution boundary here. The place is also known for several pairs of breeding Daru.
