Site with beach, dunes and forest. But especially the mudflats at this northernmost point of North Funen attract many birds.
Agernæs is a peninsula and the northernmost point of North Funen. Flyvesandet is Funen's northernmost coast. Here is Storskoven forest on the coast with beautiful old straight beech trees. If you walk quietly down the trails, you may be lucky enough to see Rétisas. Best area for birding is the western side of Flyvessand. From a bird observation tower, there is a view of the entire Agernæs Flak, Æbelø and Nærå beach. Large parts are exposed at low tide and constitute one of Funen's largest wading areas.
Flyvesandet is located on the northernmost point of North Funen. You can park close to the bird tower. Click on a P in the map for directions.
