Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Barkóscinege and there are nesting some other rare birds like törpegém , Kékbegy and Karmazsinpirók. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Hantmadár , Nádi tücsökmadár , Szerecsensirály , Halászsas and sometimes even csíkosfejű nádiposzáta and Fülemülesitke.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Havasi partfutó , Pajzsoscankó , Apró partfutó , Sarlós partfutó , Füstös cankó , Réti cankó and some other. Also you can observe Pettyes vízicsibe or Guvat.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Barkóscinege and if you are lucky you can see wintering Bölömbika or sárgacsőrű kenderike .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: vékonycsőrű víztaposó , kőforgató , Terekcankó , Nagy goda , Sarki partfutó , Halászsirály , Kenti csér , Sarki csér , Vörhenyes fecske , Fakó rétihéja , Fecskesirály , csíkosfejű nádiposzáta , Fülemülesitke and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
