Posedarje Lagoon

Muds and sands near a church on the island in a bay south of the town of Posedarje. Nice area to check, if nothing for the beauty of it.

Description

In the spring and winter, Posedarje Lagoon is a great place for resting and migrating waders and ducks. Can be seriously rewarding, with great numbers of species in the area. Among the birds you can encounter are Csörgo réce, Örvös bukó, Fütyülő réce, Bütykös ásólúd, Kanalas réce, Nyílfarkú réce, Füles vöcsök, Vörösnyakú vöcsök, Feketenyakú vöcsök and Kis vöcsök.

Access

Posedarje Lagoon is located directly to the south of the town of Posedarje. You can park right next to the beach, there is a parking lot, it's free as well. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking.

Around April 20, the only birds in the area were a few Sárgalábú sirály, tengelic and one billegetőcankó. The location itself is lovely.
