The Gerny plateau is a fertile plain where lots of agrarian species nest or stop during migration. Both the open fields and the surrounding bushes are worth it.
Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. Vörös kánya and Barna kánya are frequent. Annual observations of Havasi lile, Hamvas rétihéja, Parlagi pityer and sometimes Daru on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are Sarkantyús pityer, Rozsdástorkú pityer, fenyősármány, Kerti sármány, Hósármány, Búbos banka, Gatyás ölyv, Fakó rétihéja, Törpesas, kuhi and Kék vércse.
You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
