Description

Newman Rock is an informal camping area just off the Eyre Highway located in the Great Western Woodlands.

The site is usually good for a nice range of bushbirds. Copperback Quail-thrush and White-fronted Honeyeater are regularly seen and the rare Scarlet-chested Parrot has occasionally been reported here.

Access

Newman Rock is located 50 km west of Balladonia or 142 km East of Norseman and lies about one km off the Eyre Highway on the northern side. Press P on the map to access Google mapping.
