Description
During the spring and autumn migration periods, many wetland birds pass through Yerevan Lake, including various ducks such as Kanalas réce, Cigányréce, and others, as well as waders like Kis lile and Gólyatöcs. Additionally, the migration routes of some birds of prey, such as Barna kánya and Darázsölyv, pass through the lake. In summer Búbos vöcsök, Szárcsa, Nádirigó, Nádi tücsökmadár and others nest here. In winter, the lake becomes a refuge for Csörgo réce and Dankasirály.

Access
Yerevan Lake is located approximately 3 kilometers southwest of the city center of Yerevan. Public transport: Buses 43, 23, 47, 67 to Yerlabur stop close to the lake. From the bus stop a walk of approximately 10-15 minutes is required. Taxi/car: To Tsovakal Isakov 15/1 (gas station). On foot: Approximately 30 minutes from the city center.
