Lyon Park is one of Yerevan’s best urban birding spots, centered around a large artificial lake and surrounded by trees, shrubs, and grassy areas. The mix of water and greenery attracts a variety of species. You can spot birds like Zöldike, Búbos banka and Füleskuvik. It’s an easy accessible location with pleasant walking paths. Perfect for a relaxed birding break in the middle of the city.

Access

Lyon Park is located in the southeast part of Yerevan, near the Noragavit district. It’s easy to reach by public transport, including buses 61, 38, 18, 10 to Erebuni district administration stop. There’s also a parking area at the park entrance for those arriving by car. The park is best explored on foot and has paved paths around the lake and through green spaces. A typical visit takes about 1–2 hours, depending on how much time you spend birding or walking.
