Lakeside park in Kissimmee that is good for Snail Kite.
Brownie Wise Park is part of the Tupperware Island Conservation Area and is one of the best places to see Snail Kite as they frequent Lake Tohopekaliga. There is a vantage point of the lake that is good to scope out of to scan for ducks and herons. The perimeters of the park are conducive for many migrant warblers as well as Painted Bunting in the winter.
Past rarities in the park include Groove-billed Ani, Vermilion Flycatcher, and Wilson's Warbler.
Brownie Wise Park is located 20 miles south of Orlando, in Kissimmee on the shore of Lake Tohopekaliga. Parking is right in the center of the park. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. Brownie Wise Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and does not charge an entry fee.
