Birds that top the list in Thursden Valley are Red Grouse, Gavran and the laughing Zelena žuna. One minute your on open barren moorland the next your in the woods. Among the other birds you can encounter are Oštrigar, Kukuvija, Vjetruša, Poljska Ševa, Livadna Trepetljka, Veliki ronac, Crnoglavi Batić, Zeba, Veliki Pozviždač, Sova močvarica and Sivi Ćuk.

Thursden Valley is located northeast of Burnley. You can park near the Coldwell reservoirs. Click on the P in the map for directions, Or you can make the journey big and come from either Widdop or Hurstwood. Best to explore the area by foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 1,8 mile (3 km).
