Description

The Oa Peninsula features a rocky coastline where Crvenokljuna galica breed and are protected. More than 110 other species have been seen here. Suri orao and Eja Strnjarica are frequent. Lisasta Guska and Sjevernomorska guska (20,000 or more) graze the farm fields in winter. Up to 14 species of duck may be seen here, either offshore or in the freshwater lochs. Smaller birds include Gorska juričica, Poljska Ševa and occasional Kosac, mostly on migration.

Mammals to see here include otter, red squirrel, red deer, dolphins, porpoises and seals. Harmless, plankton-eating basking sharks are a possibility in summer.
