25 acres of restored farmland, hedgerow and open grazing land by the River Wey that attract an abundance of bird life.
Manor Farm Nature Reserve is 25 acres of restored farmland on the banks of the River Wey. Quite a small area nestled in an urban region good for a few hours spotting some common species. The Surrey Wildlife Trust acquired Manor Farm in 2009 and began the process of restoring the site to a natural state, bringing wildlife back to the area. The site now consists of areas of wet meadow, improved grassland and a series of hedges, which attract species such as Poljska Ševa, Kukuvija, Juričica, Vjetruša, Sivi Popić, Plavetna Sjenica, Drozd Cikelj, Vrabac and Čavka. There is a hide for Surrey Wildlife Trust Members.
Park on residential streets, access on foot Mill Lane or Fullerton's Road. Some paved tracks with disabled access but gates in places. Can be muddy or flooded in places but still accessible. An old pump house next to the Wey has been turned in to a bird hide. To access the hide, please call the Trust on 01483 795440.
