Hope's Nose is in Torquay on the South Devon Coast.
Hope's Nose is primarily a seawatching point in the town of Torquay, it is East facing and during duller misty days with poorer visibility or onshore winds seabirds can get very close to shore. The area once very overgrown is now more open, it has an old quarry on it's North side with three smallish islands just off the point, the Leadstone, Ore Stone and Thatcher Rock, BE AWARE there are STEEP CLIFFS and FOOTPATHS around this area.
From Torquay Harbour head East along the A379 (Torwood Street) towards Babbacombe, look for a right turn into Meadfoot Road that takes you to Meadfoot Beach. On reaching the beach continue East along road, now called Meadfoot Sea Road. After the road turns inland look for a very sharp right turn into Ilsham Marine Drive. At the top of this road look for roadside parking and take footpath Eastward to the point.
As is usual with Devon seaside locations the area gets VERY BUSY during summer months.
