Description

The Plavoglava pčelarica breeds in Asia, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. They also do so in eastern Turkey. They nest solitarily or in loose colonies of up to ten birds. They sometimes nest in colonies with Pčelarica. The dry and open surroundings of the hamlet of Hüyüklü are a good spot to see Plavoglava pčelarica. They are summer guests and breed in the area. Other birds you can see in the area are Pčelarica, Senegalska grlica, Grlica, Zlatovrana, Pupavac, Black Francolin, Riđi škanjac, Crna lunja, Sirijski djetlić, Sivkasta Bjeloguza, Finsch's Wheatear and Dugorepa grmušarka.
