Ergolzmündung / KW Augst Whylen Altrhein is only a small area along the river but often surprising guests turn up during migration or winter guests. The mouth of the Ergolz stream is a small-scale area, while the bigger and wide basin of the Altrhein is also interesting for passing waders and swallows. Fields all around the area are worthwhile for migratory birds in spring. The bird hide on the Altrhein is a must during the migration period!
