Species such as Lesser Redpoll, Rujnica, Trstenjak Mlakar, Siva Grmuša, Drozd Bravenjak, Muharica or Vijoglav can be observed in the floodplain forest . On the gravel banks along the Reuss there are Mala Prutka, Vodenkos and Gorska Pastirica. The following species can be observed in the pastures and meadows: Planinska trepteljka, Prugasta Trepetljka, Sivkasta Bjeloguza, Zmijar, Škanjac osaš, Smeđoglavi Batić, Bjelolica utva zviždara, Rusi Svračak.

The floodplain area is located between the villages of Hospental and Realp. You can explore the area on foot. A circular walk around the area is about 3 km.
