Vombs ängar is an open area of meadows with some wetlands. In the autmn and the winter a great variety of geese gather here.
Vombs ängar are wide and flat moist meadows, with two towers to observe the area. The whole site is restricted, all year, so the route has to be along the surrounding roads. In the winter big flocks of geese gather and up to nine species can be seen, with gems like Crvenonoga guska , Crvenovrata guska and more rarely Mala guska.
The meadows are also an area for migrating, resting and wintering pipits such as Planinska trepteljka. A tip is to look along the ditches that cross the meadows (mainly the one between the towers). The area is also good for raptors, in migration but also wintering such as Suri orao and Štekavac. Other rare but occasional spieces are Šljuka Livadarka and Riđa Štijoka.
If going by bus, take number 155 from Lund C to Harlösa S and walk from there ( ca 2 km). If going by car drive towards Silvåkra and follow the road crossing the meadows towards Vomb village.
Please pay attention to the signs pointing out the restricted area.
