Description
Migrating birds (mostly waterfowl) can be found seen from Ekudden. Especially in autumn (September/Oktober). Then Thousands of Sjevernomorska guska, Grivasta guska, Zviždara and Gavka have been seen. Hundreds of Kržulja, Patka Lastarka, Crna patka and Patka kulašica have been migrating during the right weather.
On the Cobs around Kvädö large colonies of Veliki Vranac, Arktička čigra, Crvenokljuna Čigra, Burni Galeb and Riječni Galeb. There is also one of the few colonies of Velika čigra in Sweden at Röskären. If the weather is harsh, arctic waders sometimes stop on the cobs. The cobs are also one of the best wintering areas for Morski žalar.
The open sea next to Ekudden is often open and holds large amounts of wintering Veliki ronac, Patka ledara and Patka Batoglavica. Smaller amounts of wintering Crna patka, Mali ronac, Utva and Ćubasti Gnjurac can be found. During late autumn and winter large amounts (at most 3500) of Patka Batoglavica and Krunata Patka winter at Licknewarpsfjärden. Bijeli ronac, is found up until April but is most common in early December. Smaller amounts of dabbling ducks (Patka Kreketaljka, Zviždara and Kržulja) and Glavata Patka also winter in the bays. The large area of forests bring wintering Suri orao, Jastreb and Kobac. The fields often hold wintering Škanjac, and cobs Štekavac.
During spring resting loons have been seen. Passerine birds sometimes rest at Ekudden. Rare birds like Modrovoljka (northern subsp), Mrka Crvenrepka, and Pine Grosbeak have been seen. Grebes have been seen resting during the spring (Riđogrli Gnjurac, Ćubasti Gnjurac (most common), and Ušati gnjurac) are often found.

Parking can be done at Licknewarpsfjärden, at Ekudden, and at gamla Fågelvik. There is a Birdwatching tower at Ekudden.
