Description
Fysingen nature reserve has almost 100 breeding species and is a popular birding destination for it's waders, geese and other waterbirds. But also to see birds of prey. The beach meadows with mighty reed belts are bird protection areas and also rich in birds.
Eja Močvarica can be seen flying low over the reeds, but you can also see birds of prey such as Sokol Lastavičar, Vjetruša, Škanjac gaćaš and Bukoč. The Štekavac has its nest on the island Stora Kyngan in the middle of the lake. You can also hear the honking of Bukavac and the Mrki Slavuj sings through the night. Other nice birds you might see are Rujnica, Patka Batoglavica, Bijeli ronac, Ždral, Veliki Trstenjak, Pršljivac and Crna Prutka.

A bird tower with connecting track has been built at the far end of the reeds at Fysingen's northwest shore. For parking see the P on the map.
