Segura riverbed as it passes through the town of Abarán. The riverbed is surrounded by small cultivated orchards.
The avifauna present in the riverbed of the Río Segura is mainly made up of colonies of herons, Veliki Vranac and Vodomar in winter, other aquatic birds remain to a greater or lesser extent throughout the year, being able to see Liska, Mlakuša, Mali Gnjurac and Divlja Patka. But also birds like Vuga, Čiopa, Pčelarica and Crnoglava Grmuša.

Está compuesta principalmente por colonias de ardeidas, cormorán grande y martín pescador en invierno, otras aves acuáticas se mantienen en mayor o menor medida durante todo el año, pudiendo avistarse focha común, gallineta común, zampullín chico y anade azulón.
