Description

Playa de Misiego is on the banks of the Ria de Villaviciosa estuary. This estuary is an important rest and passage area for migrating birds. The site is easy accessible and the birds are often close. The mudflats and salt marshes are directly along the road. Birds you can observe include Prugasti Pozviždač, Veliki Pozviždač, Žličarka, Kulik Blatarić, Mala Prutka, Krivokljuna Prutka, Žalar Cirikavac, Mala Bijela Čaplja, Čaplja Govedarica and Crnoglavi Batić.

Access

Playa de Misiego is located on the northeastern banks of the Ria de Villaviciosa, 9 km northeast of the town of Villaviciosa, near the village of Olivar. You can park close to the shore. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
