Mosaic area of habitats, alternating oak groves with meadows, olive groves and shrubby vegetation.
O Cobo is an area of mixed and alternate habitat between Taboadela and San Cibrao das Viñas, in Ourense. It stands out for its abundance of birds, especially passerines. The area has a large breeding population of Crnoglava Grmuša and birds such as Vjetruša, Ševa Krunica, Crnogrla Strnadica, Velika Strnadica, Pupavac, Zelena žuna (Iberian), Iberijski zviždak, Drozd Imelaš, Grlica, Crnoglavi Batić, Grmuša Pjenica, Vuga, Zimovka, Kukmasta sjenica, Brgljez, Škanjac osaš and Daurska Lastavica.
In winter Livadna Trepetljka, Zeba, Mali Drozd, Zviždak, Čižak abound. There are also rarer birds such as Drozd Bravenjak, Planinska trepteljka, Sjeverna Zeba, Crvena lunja.
In the migration season, especially in the autumn, species such as Smeđoglavi Batić, Muharica, Crnoglava Muharica, Prugasta Trepetljka, Slavuj, Grmuša Pjenica and Siva Grmuša appear. In addition, Golub Dupljaš, Vijoglav, Jastreb and Sokol Lastavičar are also seen from time to time. More rare are observations of Iberian Grey Shrike, Riđoglavi Svračak, Rusi Svračak, Zmijar, Primorska Trepetljka or Bjeloglavi sup.

Destaca por su abundancia de aves, especialmente passeriformes. Destacan una gran población reproductora de Crnoglava Grmuša y aves como Vjetruša , Ševa Krunica, Crnogrla Strnadica, Velika Strnadica, Pupavac, Zelena žuna (ibérico), Iberijski zviždak, Drozd Imelaš, Grlica, Crnoglavi Batić, Grmuša Pjenica, Vuga, Zimovka, Kukmasta sjenica, Brgljez, Škanjac osaš o Daurska Lastavica también como reproductores.
En invierno abundan Livadna Trepetljka, Zeba, Mali Drozd, Zviždak, Čižak. También aparecen aves más escasas como Drozd Bravenjak, Planinska trepteljka, Sjeverna Zeba, Crvena lunja.
En época de paso, especialmente en el postnupcial, aparecen especies como Smeđoglavi Batić, Muharica, Crnoglava Muharica, Prugasta Trepetljka, Slavuj, Grmuša Pjenica, Siva Grmuša. Además también se observa de vez en cuando Golub Dupljaš, Vijoglav, Jastreb, Sokol Lastavičar. También cuenta con observaciones excepcionales de Iberian Grey Shrike , Riđoglavi Svračak, Rusi Svračak, Zmijar, Primorska Trepetljka o Bjeloglavi sup.
It can be easily reached by car, being only 1.2 km from exit 217 of the A-52 motorway, from where a secondary road takes you to O Cobo. Once there, you can drive along the small and not very crowded road that runs through it. Or you can go on foot/by bicycle. To explore the area it is advisable to also walk along the paths and "canellas" that start from the road. You can park your car in one of the dirt sidings next to the road.

Espagnol: Se puede llegar fácilmente en coche, estando a tan solo 1.2 km de la salida 217 de la autovía A-52, desde donde una carretera secundaria te lleva hasta O Cobo. Una vez allí se puede transitar en coche por la pequeña y poco concurrida carretera que lo recorre o a pie/en bicicleta por la misma, aunque para prospectar mejor la zona es recomendable pasear también por los caminos y "canellas" que parten de la carretera. Puede aparcarse el coche en alguno de los apartaderos de tierra junto a la carretera.
