Description

The area of Llanos de Calera y Chozas is good for steppe birds. In my case, I walk the road between Calera y Chozas and Puente del Arzobispo at dawn. I leave the car at the lane entrances. From there you can scan the area with the telescope. You can find Droplja and Mala droplja. Along with these birds Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Ćukavica and Velika Ševa. Various raptors and other more frequent birds. See the birdlist below.

Español: Llanos de cereal con paisajes tipo mosaico. Destacan aves esteparias como la Droplja y el Mala droplja. En mi caso, recorro la carretera entre Calera y Chozas y Puente del Arzobispo al amanecer. Dejo el coche en las entradas de carriles. Desde allí puedes hacer barrido con el telescopio. Puedes encontrar Droplja y Mala droplja​​​​​​. Junto a estas aves Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Ćukavica y Velika Ševa. Diversas rapaces y otras aves más frecuentes.

Access

You have to differentiate between seeing birds and photographing them. For the first, you can walk the public roads with the telescope and take back your memories. For the second, there is a private company specialized in hides and photography of bustards in Calera y Chozas.
