Description
The Lagunas de Corral-Rubio are home to a wide variety of aquatic birds and has a good population of steppe birds in nearby areas. Among the birds you can encounter are, depending on the season, Droplja, Ždral, Patka Gogoljica, Èakora, Plamenac, Pin-tailed Sandgrouse and Black-bellied Sandgrouse. Keep in mind that these are seasonal lagoons and that they are sometimes almost or completely dry.

Access
The lagoons are easy accessible from the village of Corral-Rubio. Click on the P in the map for directions. To see steppe birds it is advisable to take a car tour between the lagoons and through the surrounding area.

Very nice place. I saw large flocks of small birds in the reeds. Češljugar, tits, pipits, buntings, also Sjenica Mošnjarka and Crnoglavi Batić, Šivalica and Vlastelica. I rated the area with 4.5 stars, only because the lagoon is unfortunately almost dry.

Sehr schöner Ort. Ich habe große Schwärme von Kleinvögeln im Schilf gesehen. Stieglitze, Meisen, Pieper, Ammern, auch Beutelmeisen und Schwarzkehlchen, Zistensänger und Stelzen. Nur 4,5 Sterne, weil die Lagune leider fast trocken ist.
The lagoons are dry, except the third one SW of the red dot on above map. A few Utva and Patka Kreketaljka seen. However Droplja could be seen in the surrounding fields. I counted 34 early Monday morning (1.4.).
This part of the reserve is currently completely dry, due to the severe drought affecting the region. Droplja
