Mount Orovica, in the shadow of Ovčar and Kablar mountains, really captivates with its beauty and you can combine birdwatching with beautiful hikes.
Mount Orovica is located about ten kilometers west of Ovčar Banja and is part of a gorge that is rarely visited. With gentle slopes and glades, overgrown with beech forest and a height of 856 m above sea level, it has a mountainous landscape with many points from which you can watch birds.
The area can be reached by car and by bus. The distance between Belgrade and Tuckovo is about 165 km, or 2.5 hours of drive by the Ibar highway. You can explore the lower slopes of the area or hike up. The circular walk you see on the map below is about 11 km The beginning of the trail is in the village of Tučkovo. Click on the P to get directions. On this walk you bridge about 600 meters difference in height and need about 5 hours of easy walking with all the breaks and birdwatching.
