Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. Glavata Patka, Krunata Patka, Patka Batoglavica, Patka crninka and Ušati gnjurac are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly Siva Guska and Lisasta Guska.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like Pupavac, Štekavac, Liska, Divlja Patka and Patka Lastarka. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), Žuti Voljić, Trstenjak Rogožar, Trstenjak cvrkutić and Muharica. Also there are migrating raptors like Bukoč and Škanjac osaš.
