Description
The Râul Jiu (Jiu River) flows just west of the city of Craiova. On the water, on the banks and in the surrounding forest and fields you can observe many birds. For example Zlatovrana, Velika Bijela Čaplja, Mala Bijela Čaplja, Bijela roda, Crna Čigra, Crvenokljuni Labud, Kulik Sljepčić, Pupavac, Kukavica, Pčelarica and Oštrigar.

This site along the Jiu River is located about 6 km west of the city center of Craiova. You can park along the road. Click on the P in the map for directions. The best way to explore the area is on foot.
