The estuary area is great to visit all year round. In spring some species exhibit mating plumage, and migration brings different birds each year. Here you can observe a large variety of different species such as Bijela roda, Crnogrli Gnjurac, Žličarka, Utva, Krivokljuna Prutka, Crvenonoga Prutka, Oštrigar, Delaverski galeb, Modronoga Sabljarka, Bukoč, Plamenac, Veliki Vranac, Zlatar Pijukavac, Troprsti Zlatar, Kameničak, Crnorepa Muljača, Gavka, Prugasti Pozviždač, Galeb klaukavac and Mali tamnoleđi galeb.

Access
Moinho de Marés da Mourisca is located east of the city of Setúbal. Coming from Setúbal, take the N10. Next to the km 45, turn to Alto da Guerra village. About 700m after this, take the left turn to "Moinho de Maré da Mourisca". After 1,5 km, crossing the railway road, you reach Mourisca village. Right around 500 meters later, take the exit to the mills on the roundabout. Press P on the map for directions.
