Description
An area of approximately 70 ha of arable land and vacant sandy soils that are managed by nature organisation Natuurmonumenten. On behalf of Natuurmonumenten, we count all the field birds that use the fields in the winter. In winter, large flocks of finches gather here. Birds we have seen here include: Rusi Svračak, Močvarna Strnadica, Zimovka, Veliki svračak, Drozd Imelaš, Žuta strnadica, Gavran, Trčka, Šumska šljuka, Škanjac osaš, Ševa Krunica, Planinska sjenica, Kukmasta sjenica, Poljska Ševa, Sivi Ćuk, Zelena žuna, Mali djetao, Šumski Zviždak, Siva Grmuša, Zlatoglavi Kraljić, Grmuša čevrljinka, Drozd Bravenjak, Grmuša Pjenica, Crnoglavi Batić, Sivkasta Bjeloguza, Češljugar, Šumska Crvenperka, Vatroglavi Kraljić, Mrka Crvenrepka, Brgljez, Žuta Pastirica, Mali Drozd, Batokljun, Krstokljun, Prugasta Trepetljka, Čižak, Močvarna Strnadica.

Nederlands: Het gaat hierbij om een gebied met ca. 70 hectare akkerland en braakliggende zandgronden die door Natuurmonumenten beheerd worden. Wij tellen in opdracht van Natuurmonumenten in de winter alle akkervogels die gebruik maken van de akkers. We treffen hier in de winter grote groepen Vinken, Groenlingen, Geelgorsen, Graspiepers en af en toe Grauwe Klauwier, Klapekster. In de "Birdlist" staan de soorten die hier over het gehele jaar zijn aangetroffen.

Access
The Zeddammer Fields are located directly west of the village of Zeddam. Easy parking in the area. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. You can explore the area on foot in about two hours.

Nederlands: De Zeddammervelden liggen direct ten westen van het dorp Zeddam. Gemakkelijk parkeren in de buurt. Druk op P op de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar een parkeerplaats. Je kunt het gebied te voet in ongeveer twee uur verkennen.

On the left side of the Beekseweg (N335) lies a beautiful area (approx. 5 ha.) overgrown with mainly Broom (Cytisus scoparius) and a few solitary trees (mainly Birch) that is unfortunately not accessible. With a telescope/binoculars, the entire area can be seen well from the cycle path that runs along the N335. You can also take a walk (approx. 1 hour) around the area.

Nederlands: Aan de linkerkant van de Beekseweg (N335) ligt een prachtig gebiedje (ca.5 ha.) begroeid met hoofdzakelijk Brem (Cytisus scoparius) en enkele solitaire bomen (voornamelijk Berk) dat helaas niet toegankelijk is. Met de telescoop/verrekijker, is het gehele gebied vanaf het fietspad, dat langs de N335 loopt echter goed te overzien. Bovendien kan men een wandeling (ca 1 uur) rondom het gebied maken.
Winter: Veliki svračak, Žuta strnadica, Juričica, Zeba, Zimovka, Vjetruša, Škanjac, Gavran, Crvendać, Češljugar, Šljuka Kokošica, Kos, Šumska šljuka, Šljuka Kokošica, Crvendać, Drozd Imelaš, Drozd Cikelj, Palčić, Žuta strnadica, Češljugar, Crna vrana, Velika Sjenica, Plavetna Sjenica, Golub Grivnjaš, Golub Dupljaš.
Zomer: Crnoglavi Batić (ca. 4 broedparen) en alle vernoemde soorten uitgezonderd de Veliki svračak. In het gebied broeden in het seizoen ca. 10 broedparen Žuta strnadica.
