The Wiessenbergse kolk is part of a cluster of nature reserves southeast of Hattem, near the river IJssel. The lake is surrounded by grassland and some bushes and trees. Birds that you can see on and around the lake include Siva Guska, Zlatokrila utva, Egipatska guska, Mandarinska patka, Patka Kreketaljka, Patka Pupčanica, Zviždara, Divlja Patka, Kržulja, Krunata Patka, Veliki ronac, Vivak, Modronoga Sabljarka, Crnorepa Muljača, Šljuka Kokošica and Vodomar.

Nederlands: De Wiessenbergse kolk is een mooie ondiepe plas voor onder meer bevers, steltlopers, ganzen en af en toe een visarend of zeearend. De plas maakt het deel uit van een cluster natuurgebieden ten zuidoosten van Hattem, bij de rivier de IJssel. De kolk is omgeven door grasland en plukjes struiken en bomen.
