Description
The harbor jetty at De Cocksdorp is easily accessible from the neighboring village and there are always nice birds to see in the little harbor. Cross the dike and you're immediately on the Wadden Sea mudflats. From the dike, you have a panoramic view of the mudflats. Walk onto the harbor jetty and you're right among the mudflats, and the birds are sometimes very close. Birds you can find there include Utva, Patka Žličarka, Kržulja, Patka Lastarka, Zviždara, Modronoga Sabljarka, Veliki Pozviždač, Riđa muljača and Crvenonoga Prutka.

Nederlands: De havensteiger bij De Cocksdorp is gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanuit het aangrenzende dorp en er zijn altijd leuke vogels te zien in het haventje. Als je de dijk oversteekst sta je meteen aan het wad. Vanaf de dijk heb je een wijds uitzicht op het wad. Als je de havensteiger op loopt sta je midden tussen de wadplaten en zijn de vogels soms heel dichtbij. Vogels die je er kunt aantreffen zijn onder meer Utva, Patka Žličarka, Kržulja, Patka Lastarka, Zviždara, Modronoga Sabljarka, Veliki Pozviždač, Riđa muljača en Crvenonoga Prutka.

Easily accessible on foot or by bike from De Cocksdorp. Near the harbor at about 75 meters are parking places. Click on the P in the map for directions. There is also a disabled parking space.
