While walking through the woods and near the lakes of the Broekpolder, you can encounter waterfowl such as Kržulja, Patka Lastarka and Žličarka, and other birds such as Juričica, Žuti Voljić, Sokol Lastavičar and Vuga.

Nederlands: De Broekpolder is een grote polder (400 hectare) bij Vlaardingen, met een divers landschap, zeer in trek bij watervogels. Wandelend door de bossen en langs de meren van de Broekpolder kom je watervogels tegen zoals Kržulja, Patka Lastarka en Žličarka, en andere vogels zoals Juričica, Žuti Voljić, Sokol Lastavičar en Vuga.

The area is accessible by car, and one can go for a bike ride through the polder. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can explore the whole area on foot by a circular walk of 8,5 km (see the map below).

Bij drukte kun je het beste parkeren op de grote parkeerplaats bij restaurant de Polderpoort. Je kunt het hele gebied te voet verkennen via een rondwandeling van 8,5 km (zie onderstaande kaart).
