Description
Biotopo del Taio is a marshy area of 4.5 hectares surrounded by green vineyards. Among the birds that have been observed over the years are Čapljica Voljak, Bukavac, Vodomar, Veliki Trstenjak, Liska, Mlakuša, Divlja Patka, Siva Čaplja, Čaplja Danguba, Velika Bijela Čaplja, Mali Gnjurac, Ćubasti Gnjurac and Zelena žuna. The place always delivers interesting observations both of the species that nest and of those passing through. Not rare are the encounters with birds of prey such as Crna lunja, Škanjac and Vjetruša which are concentrated more in the surrounding countryside.
