Description
Arklow Duck Pond is quite a large body of water, near the coastline with few viewing areas out into the pond. Birding is quite nice at Arklow Duck Pond since its easy to access and provides a wide arrange of waterfowl and gulls of which can be seen from the flat land near the pond. Many times birds also will go on to the car park and flat land, so its not too hard to search for them. Easy to spot Siva Guska, Riječni Galeb, Mlakuša, Crvenokljuni Labud and Divlja Patka, but also good chance to see Mali Gnjurac, Trstenjak cvrkutić, Crnokapa Grmuša and Zlatoglavi Kraljić.

Arklow Duck Pond is located just north of Arklow. Easy to reach on foot, by car or bike. Press P on the map for directions. Best to stay as long as you like, no tide stopping you. A circular walk around the pond is about 1,3 km.
