An old park in the heart of Tehran. City Park is a great place to find birds, especially during the migration season.
City Park, the oldest park in Tehran, is located in the city center. Established in 1953, it spans 26 hectares. With its rich variety of old and diverse trees, City Park stands out as one of the best spots for quick and easy urban birdwatching, offering a rare green escape in the heart of Tehran's sprawling urban landscape. Spring and autumn are the best time to visit the park, as there is a chance to find rare migratory bird species like, Hume's Warbler, Šarenokrili azijski zviždak, Crnokapi svračak and Istočna šarena muharica.
Tehran City Park is easily accessible due to its central location in the city. It is just a 10-minute walk from Imam Khomeini Metro Station, and the Fayyazbakhsh Bus Terminal is conveniently situated on the northern side of the park.
