Description
Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Patka ledara, Morski Vranac, Bluna, Mala njorka, Islandska patka and Mali ronac. You might also see Crvenogrli Plijenor and Sjeverni plijenor. Örfirsey has also hosted a male White-winged Scoter every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Bijela strnadica might pass, and along the rocks there might be Crna njorka.
