Description

The lagoon is the 'waterlily lake' mentioned by Gerald Durrell in My Family and Other Animals. However it appeared lifeless on my September visit. The island has 3 beaches, accessible by car, and good scrub and heath habitat favoured by warblers, Velika Strnadica, Ćuk and Grlica. A pair of Suri orao were hunting over the wooded hills on return journey to Roda. Other birds you can enconter are Daurska Lastavica, Bijela Čiopa, Hridna lastavica, Bjelobrka Grmuša, Crnoglava Grmuša and Velika Grmuša.
