Waldsee Lauer is situated northwest of Markleeberg and just south of Leipzig. This place is best explored on foot (at minimum a circular path of 1.8 km, which can be extended nicely and flexibly). You can get there by bike very comfortably from Markleeberg or Leipzig.

Coming by public transport, bus line 65 gets you there to the bus stops "Leipzig, Cospudener See/EXPO-Pavillon" (Northwest of the lake) or "Markkleeberg, Cospudener See/Erlebnisachse" (South of the lake), both highlighted on the map.

Coming by car, there is a parking lot Northwest of the lake (marked with a "P" on the map).
