Description
The Plothener Teiche (Plothen ponds) extend over about 75 km². The nickname 'Land of 1000 ponds' is no coincidence, because there used to be about 1,600 ponds in this area. Among the birds you can see in the area are Utva, Patka Pupčanica, Patka Žličarka, Kržulja, Mali Gnjurac, Kukavica, Ždral, Kulik Sljepčić, Crnokrila Prutka, Prutka Migavica, Eja Močvarica, Crvena lunja, Rusi Svračak and Žuta strnadica.
