Description
Moosschwaige has surprisingly varied habitats. There are reedbeds (Trstenjak cvrkutić, Veliki Trstenjak), ponds and streams (Kokošica, Vodomar) with attached wetland being actively maintained by beavers. There are also woods and grassland.
Star species are Žuti Voljić, Rusi Svračak and Kukavica in the summer, Veliki svračak in the winter, and woodpeckers all year round, including Mali djetao , Siva žuna and Crna žuna.

Moosschwaige is located in the west of Munich, reachable from Aubing or Freiham S-Bahn (30 minute walk). Allow at least two hours to explore. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
