Especially on warm summer days the area is good for all kinds of raptors as they breed in the surrounding forests like Scheidebusch, Kannenbruch, Grönauer Heide. Woodpeckers, Golub Dupljaš, Bijela roda or Ždral pass by frequently. In the evening the call of up to 3 Šumska šljuka is not unusual, sometimes Šljuka Kokošica too. Typicall breeding species are Ždral, Crnoglavi Batić, Poljska Ševa, Smeđoglavi Batić, Rusi Svračak and Livadna Trepetljka.

There is a bus going to the village of Krummesse. Then walk. You can also take the car till the red and white "no entry sign". A bike is fine too.
