The Kolksee is a pond along the river Kinzig where Vodomar can be found. Among the other birds you can spot on the lake and in the surrounding area are Veliki Vranac, Egipatska guska, Plavetna Sjenica, Divlja Patka, Bijela roda, Siva Čaplja and Bijela Pastirica.

The Kolksee is located directly south of the town of Biberach and easy to access on foot, with a handy little car park nearby. Click on the P in the map for directions to the car park. The circular walk indicated on the map is less than 1 km.
