Description
Open ponds with reed fringes, mudflats and some islands for breeding birds. Apart from a variety of waders and waterfowl the area is quite good for raptors, e.g. Sivi Sokol and Štekavac.
Typical breeding birds: Crvenonoga Prutka, Modronoga Sabljarka, Crvenokljuna Čigra, Modrovoljka, Trstenjak Rogožar, Kokošica.
Migration: Any kind of wader, terns, ducks
Winter: Bijeli ronac and many other duck species, many geese (particularly Sjevernomorska guska and Lisasta Guska), divers, Troprsti Zlatar.
Despite being created only recently the area already held a few national rarities: Ždral krunaš (2014), breeding Vlastelica (2014), Stilt Sandpiper (2019).

The site can be accessed easily via Ölstraße from Diekmannshausen (2 km), either by car or by bicycle. No public transport available.
